| i am proud of it and i have listened to it over 100 times. still not bored. it will contain surprises. me and john and vin wrote the majority of it and i have really enjoyed the writing processes, in particular it was great to have john there for the majority of the session. he makes me laugh and is a musical compadre. he also wrote the title track.
happy listening.
ps remember whatever you think of it the music is written complately honestly with no concern at all for business or material gain of any sort. if we wanted to sell out, we would have stayed on the same musical path and not been as diverse.

| I only heard a few of the samples and Lost song Part 3 and I must say I'm really exited. I loved WHBWH and WS very much, but this new one sounds like it's going to be even more "up my alley" | |

| See you in Lyon Danny! Too bad you're playing at Ninkasi though, Transbordeur would have been better, more intimate, I think | |

| The reviews i have read so far are all enthusiastic about the album, i am really curious to hear it, and it will be great to hear the new songs live. Danny, i am not coming to Zoetermeer this time but i am looking forward to see you again in Tilburg and Utrecht. In Tilburg we'll be with a bunch of Soulreapers again and in Utrecht we can have a big afterparty, because that's the end of the tour. :-)

| Well, we can listen to the album online, here http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/anathema-exclusive-album-stream-get-a-first-listen-to-the-bands-new-record-distant-satellites-9487235.html?dkdk , but I suppose you all know that already ). I'm pleasantly surprised. I love it, actually. I was a bit more reticent when I heard that the second part of the album was going to be more on the electronic side, but I'm already playing You're not alone and Take Shelter for the 5th time. I like the acoustic version of Distant Satellites more then the album version. All the songs are great, my absolute favorite is Dusk, but Ariel, The Lost Song part 2, Anathema and You're not alone are right there , next in line. I hope my order will arrive very soon . Congrats on another great album! | |

| reading all great and positive reviews online i can only agree with them. Distant Satellites is great, it's Anathema but it is also a new sound. I love the string arrangements and the electronic elements and Vincent and Lee's voices are so great, so clear, powerfull and lovely without becoming too sweet. And i am happy that there are some strong guitar parts in it as well and Danny singing some lines(too few) But there is something what keeps me pondering. In reviews i read that John is doing the best drumming ever, that he has grown as a drummer etc etc. but that's what makes me doubting. Is he drumming? I think it's Daniel Cardoso drumming, not sure if he is drumming all tracks, but i always loved Johns drumming because of his style, i call it 'emotive drumming'. His fills are typical and i somehow miss them in this album so that is what makes me doubting. And it was said that Daniel will be the drummer and John will be busy in writing and programming and all other stuff. What do you think?

| listening to it for the first time as we speak. Mixed feelings to be frank. Expected it to be different, and it is in some parts and in some it's not compared to the two previous albums. As always i need more spins to actually judge it. Right now 'Distant Satellites' is the most refreshing song on the album and i actually dig the combination of electronics and Vinny's voice. The first half really has a Weather System feeling to it (didn't grab me as much though), which is not necessarily bad from a song point of view but doesn't really make it innovative or different in style, as they said they want to be with every new album. You can clearly find resemblances to both previous albums. Diversity (lyric wise as well....) is what i am missing a bit right now after, again, just one listen. putting it on for another spin now | |
