| So, so, so curious about it too! I wonder if it will be on the lightning mirror of life or on the other darker side- I have to confess I miss the last one. | |

| yeah, different is good. And i'm confident it will, as the lads said themselves, they don't like to record the same kinda songs again and again. | |

| Just wrote to fb about the new album "... but I personally need something else than the last two records. Most of the fans would appreciate the same old, so i guess better to turn out as majority wants, but third one of the same atmosphere and theme would tire me. Of course never tired of john's songs and lee's voice. Nor dan's guitarplay." But i guess i was wrong, if i can rely on somethign differrent and it seems u all wait for something else than the last two albums Great then, everyone wins! | |

| DETAILS OF NEW ALBUM ANNOUNCED 28-03-2014 ANATHEMA return in June with distant satellites, their brand new studio album. ANA-DS_400px Due to be released on 9th June via Kscope, distant satellites is the highly anticipated follow up to 2012’s Weather Systems, recorded at Cederberg Studios in Oslo, with producer Christer-André Cederberg. The beautifully ethereal artwork was created by Korean new media artist Sang Jun Too and based around his Distant Light Installation The band released a statement on their new album: “distant satellites is the culmination of everything ANATHEMA been working up to so far in our musical path. It contains almost every conceivable element of the heartbeat of Anathema music that it is possible to have. There is beauty, intensity, drama, quietude, and extra musical dimensions that the band have previously only hinted at. All built on the song writing chemistry of Daniel, John and Vincent ~ and the haunting voice of Lee Douglas. Produced and mixed once again by our very own Christer-André Cederberg (Weather Systems, Universal) and with some songs also mixed by the unassailable Steven Wilson, It's a special and unique release for the band. ANATHEMA hopes the fans get as much joy from listening to and feeling the music as we did in creating it.” Ahead of their appearance at this year’s Download Festival, on Friday 13th June, ANATHEMA will be playing a series of acoustic shows: Anathema_Acoustic_400px Anathema_Acoustic_Gloucester_400px ANATHEMA LIVE: 31/05 – UK, London, Islington Assembly Rooms – Celebr8 Festival 12/06 – UK, Leamington, Assembly Rooms (Acoustic show) 13/06 – UK, Download Festival (Pepsi Max Stage) 15/06 – UK, Gloucester, Gloucester Cathedral (Acoustic show) 18/07 – Poland, Jarocin Festival 19/07 – Germany, Night Of The Prog 21/08 – Australia, Brisbane, Hi Fi Bar 22/08 – Australia, Sydney, MetroTheatre 23/08 – Australia, Melbourne, Corner Hotel 16/10 – France, Paris, Bataclan More dates to be announced... www.facebook.com/weareanathema | |

| Yesterday i talked to Karin, she was at Antimatter and Leafblade's gig in Zoetermeer. Zoetermeer is not the easiest place to go to and i think she said something about Antimatter and Leafblade had some problems to get there. Leafblade did a nice set but afterwards she was not pleased with the performance of Scarlet Stories, to her opinion it didn't fit and she didn;t like the hysteric voice of the female singer. Antimatter started at 22.30 and they were great, it was her first time to see Mick in a band and she really liked to hear them as a band. Unfortunately she had to leave after an hour, even got a ride to the trainstation, otherwise she had not been able to travel to her home. The news was that Anathema will have a gig in Zoetermeer in july.

| I guess the song "Anathema" is meant to make clear, for once and for all, how to correctly pronounce the bandname | |

| Can't remember hearing the word in the song, but its a really powerful song, don't think I've heard Vinny sing better. It'll bring tears to your eyes.
