Words that have inspired you today or made you roll eyes while reading them

Not sure if this fits the thread but I heard the poem OCD by Neil Hilborn last week and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since.

Some of my favorite quotes come from that book. Like this one: “Perhaps, when we remember wars, we should take off our clothes and paint ourselves blue and go on all fours all day long and grunt like pigs. That would surely be more appropriate than noble oratory and shows of flags and well-oiled guns.”

makes perfect sense

Now I am getting more and more convinced that I should re-read that book. I have read almost all of his books and translated and published his Timequake into Persian, but I hardly remember these quotations. What a shame  

Here is my favorite Vonnegut quotation, it is from Mother Night:

"Say what you will about the sweet miracle of unquestioning faith, I consider a capacity for it terrifying and absolutely vile."

I never read that one, but you just catapulted it on my to-be-read list!
