| What a lovely gig there was at the Boerderij, Zoetermeer! I loved the band's energy , they seemed to be quite happy on stage , I haven't seen Vincent so active since the Paradiso gig . Also, glad to see Jamie and John back on stage.I think it's a great ideea to have two drummers. Danny has to play both the keyboards and the guitar, but he handles it well. All was played in synergy and good mood. The playlist included 4 songs from the new album : The Lost song part 3, Anathema, Distant Satellites and The Lost Song Part 2 (played by Danny, Vincent and Lee). I have to say I am impressed by the way Distant Satellites sounds live, quite a lot heavier . It's also very catchy and Vincent got all the crowd to sing the chorus at the end. After Danny's solo Are you there?, Vincent and Lee joined him for a stripped down version of The Lost Song Part 2, very beautiful and heart melting. A Simple Mistake followed , dedicated to the victims of the MH17 crash and a very short, but highly appreciated political comment was added . Then a surprise was added, the band decided to play Empty to the delight of the audience. After that, the very moving One Last Goodbye and nicely ended with the classic Fragile Dreams. All in all a great gig, I missed the whole band performance so I plan to "refill" at the Tilburg or Utrecht venues. Two more comments: the playlist could have been longer and I really hope the next time I will have a nicer neighbour, as before the show I got really anoyed, and I couldn't enjoy the first 4 songs properly. The playlist: 1. Untouchable Part 1 2. Untouchable, Part 2 3. Thin Air 4. The Lost Song Part 3 5. Anathema 6. The Storm Before the Calm 7. Universal 8. Closer 9. A Natural Disaster 10. Distant Satellites 11. Are You There? 12. The Lost Song Part 2 13. A Simple Mistake 14. Empty 15. One Last Goodbye 16. Fragile Dreams | |

| Me and Pat went to see the Manchester gig on Tuesday night. Packed house, really good sound and it was an excellent gig. They played nearly all of the new album( only Dusk left out), even "You're not alone"....which sounds great live. As they started "closer", the sound stopped, so Danny got the crowd to sing Wish you were here, for a minute or two till the electricity came back on. Daniel and John swopped drums on a few songs ( eg Fragile Dreams) so that Daniel could do keyboards. Jamie showed us their touring bus , which was fantastic. I believe one of the fathers of a member of the support band Mothers Cake, has an involvement with the bus firm Beat the Street, and got them a really good deal. Both bands are touring on the bus. Pat and 2 of her friends will be going to the Lisbon gig in a few weeks (our Lee's birthday) and she's trying to get me to go to the gig in Budapest, which I know a lot of you went to a couple of years ago and enjoed immensely. | |

| http://www.overdrive.ie/anathema-button-factory-dublin/this one is super review. - We even see guitarist Daniel using a violin bow to bow his guitar through Take Shelter. This band is full of talented musicians and it truly shows that too many Cooks do not necessary spoil the broth. Personally You’re Not Alone is my favorite song but for the band Distant Satellites, the track, seems to be favored as brothers Daniel and Jamie both air drum along during the ‘bridge’ and the band really seem to enjoy themselves. wrote:
